Tabletop role-playing games

Tabletop RPGs.

Systems to play. Stories to inhabit.

Before video games, I designed tabletop role-playing games. I wrote the rules, built the scenarios, designed the character sheets and created maps across six tabletop projects, from heroic fantasy to cyberpunk.

It is where I learned most of what I now do in game and narrative design: giving every player a personal reason to be at the table, hiding information in the right places, and tuning numbers so that choices matter.
